Interview
We were experienced investment bankers ourselves, familiar with banks, brokers, and personal investments. Over time, we began investing not only in public markets but also in private markets. When seeking more interesting opportunities—often private—we, as investors, focused primarily on high-tech companies at a more mature stage, rather than very early startups that typically attract angel investments.
We noticed that such opportunities were scarce, and the few that existed lacked transparency. It was often unclear where to find reliable information about a company or how to verify the legal structure through which you invest.
We realized it would be ideal if the banks and brokers we already used for investing offered a convenient product—even if illiquid—that allowed a portion of capital to be allocated to these special private market opportunities.
Without that, the options were limited: you could join a community syndicating deals, write a large check, or use platforms where information was scattered and insufficient. Even if enough information was available—or if you were willing to invest blindly—challenges remained.
What was needed was a platform with institutional money. Essentially, this is the type of platform Amity is building. Why institutional money? Because many private companies that Ameetee works with require substantial resources that cannot be covered by small individual investments.

Financial institutions struggle to provide clients with access to private investments. Complex deal structures, regulatory requirements, and the lack of standardization make it difficult to integrate such products. As a result, banks and brokers miss opportunities to expand their offerings, while investors face barriers to alternative assets.

We conducted interviews to add meaningful elements that aligned with Ameetee’s vision and story, incorporating themes like bridges to symbolize connections and growth.
For the platform, our main goal was to tackle technical debt and establish a sustainable development process. We introduced automated testing to eliminate the need for manual checks, optimized the codebase, and created a solid foundation for future features.
We also worked to streamline development, testing, and release processes, ensuring a more efficient and reliable workflow.
